This humorous account of travel through the jungles, cities, and villages of South East Asia will save you the trouble of stoically enduring spider bites, monkey attacks, machete throwing tribesmen, hungry lions, and even ringworm. A book great for scratching the travel itch, or spreading it.

Backpack Like You Mean It A crackpot tale of travel through South East Asia eBook Jennifer Neves SarahLee Terrat Reviews

If you like sarcasm and clever wit this book is for you! A great read that will keep you entertained for hours. I loved "traveling along" to southeast Asia. It solidified that I am a homebody with little sense of adventure. Luckily I can live vicariously through the author's travels!
I loved this book. The writing was captivating and engaging. This author tells her own story of a series of events and scenes, by giving specific details in a humorous way. I felt like traveling and having fun, without the inconvenience.
This book has a brilliant blend of youthfull adventure, soul-searching, exotic interaction, and wordly imagery. Having been to several of the locations discussed in the book, I found the descriptions and situations enticing, leaving me yearning for a return to SE Asia. Throw caution to the wind and enjoy the tale!
Thoroughly enjoyable!
Lighthearted account of backpacking through the countries of Southeast Asia.
Enjoy the author's impressions of the countries and their people.
This book could serve as a guide of how to (or how not to) plan your own backpacking trip to a foreign country.
I have recommended this book to many friends.Backpack Like You Mean It - A crackpot tale of travel through South East Asia
This book made me laugh out loud (not a common experience for me.) The author provided the perfect amount of details that allowed me to experience the sights, smells, and emotions her and Nathan felt in their adventure. I am also a big fan of non-fiction, and giving me insight into the South East Asian culture was a plus! Although she provided a Disclaimer that her story should not be used as a travel guide and only a source of entertainment, I believe it provides enough detail to accomplish both tasks perfectly. A quick read for summer... I kept wanting to go back into her world and see what would happen next.
In this thoroughly entertaining, hilarious account of their six months backpacking through South East Asia, Jenny recounts how she and Nathan discovered more about themselves, each other, and this distant part of the world, than they could ever have imagined. They began by timidly exploring the exotic sights of Bangkok, and proceeded through adventure after adventure into some of the most remote and primitive parts of Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia. Jenny's humerously descriptive telling of the wild and wacky situations they find themselves in left me roaring with laughter, and in awe of their spirit and appreciation of the places and people they encounter. I highly recommend this fun and touching read.
This was one of the most entertaining books I have read in awhile. Felt like I was tagging along on quite an adventure. Highly recommend this as a fun and easy-going read.
You'll love it even if you have no desire to see Asia or to wear a backpack. Laugh out loud funny...I read it while I was touring many of the same countries.
